I graduated from the Computer Science department, Faculty of Computers and Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2002 with grade Excellent with honor. I started working as a demonstrator at the same faculty in the same year. In 2008, I got my master degree in Computer Science. My master thesis title was "An Intelligent System for Automated Arabic Text Categorization". In May 2010, I started my PhD at Database chair, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Twente, Netherlands. My graduation is expected on May 2014. My thesis entitled “Named Entity Extraction and Disambiguation for Informal Text: The Missing Link”. My research interests are machine learning, data/text mining, information extraction/retrieval, databases, uncertainty data management, and many others.
