As publicity chair, I am responsible for reaching out to ACL membership and potential conference attendees to publicize any and all information related to ACL 2014. This year, the conference website is run by David Yarowsky, and I took responsibility of publicizing the conference via other media; namely, email and Twitter. This is the first year we have had an official conference twitter account.

Accomplishments since last report:

Created ACL 2014 Poster - Displayed at EACL - Publicized via email Newsletter - Publicized via Twitter (@acl14_baltimore)

Created an official conference Twitter account to quickly publicize line-items. Tweets sent from @acl14_baltimore

Compiled two ACL Newsletters, one in March and one in June, with relevant information to potential conference-goers.

Sent ACL 2014 Conference Newsletters #1 and #2 via relevant mailing lists directly or to administrators of relevant mailing lists. Newsletter #2 was sent out on June 4, 2012; as of this writing some of these broadcasts are awaiting confirmation by list moderators. Mailing lists we have communicated on: - ACL Membership - Corpora - Linguist List - Connectionist - SIGPARSE - SIGLEX - SIGDIAL - SIGFSM - SIGGEN - SIGHAN - SIGMORPHON - SIGSEM - SIGWAC - SIGMOL
