Q: When and where will IJCNLP-2008 take place?

Q: What are the conference deadlines?

REGISTRATION

Q: How do I register?

A: IJCNLP-2008 is offering on-line registration apart from sending remittance by Bank Transfers and Demand Draft (for INR only). We have also made provisions for offline registration provision using fax. Click here for registrations.

Q: How much is the registration fee?

A: The details are online. Click here for details.

Q: Is there a student rate?

A: Yes! Bonafide students as on 1 Aug 2007 will get a 50% discount on their registration fee. Registration as a student is possible only with a certificate from the concerned HOD/Principal. (Originals to be produced at the time of Registration at Venues)

Q: Is there a discounted rate for delegates from Asian/Indian Institutions from Developing world?

A: Yes! There is a special Asian/Developing Countries Fund, which will subsidize Registration fee for deserving participants. Click here for details. The deadline for application is extended to 20 and 27 Dec 2007.

Q: I'm a presenter, do I need to register and pay?

A: Yes, all presenters are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fee.

Q: What do I get for my Conference Registration Fee?

A: All Participants will get the following:

  • Participation at the Inaugural and all Technical Sessions
  • Refreshments and lunches at the Conference on all days
  • CD containing the proceedings of the Conference
  • Programme and Conference Kit

PROGRAMME

Q: Will the Proceedings of the conference be published?

A: Yes! The Published Proceeding can be purchased by placing order in advance by 15 Dec 2008 at a cost of US$50 OR INR 1750. Click here for booking.

Q: When do you expect the Programme to be ready?

A: The final Programme for Tutorials, Workshops and Conference is available website www.ijcnlp2008.org  

Q: What are the arrangements for Poster sessions?

A: LOC is providing each author Two A0 size board (2 ½’ width X 4’ height) with sufficient numbers of Pins to stick their posters on the boards. The each board can accommodate two A1 size and 8 A4 size posters. PC recommends use of A1/A2 size of posters for easy readability by the delegates.

Q: Will the conference have an exhibition Demo’s?

A: YES! IJCNLP-08 Demo/Exhibition is being held on 9 Jan 2008 (three demos in each session of two) for the benefit of the participants in the lobby of Khemka Auditorium at ISB.

Q: Are there other activities planned apart from the technical sessions?

A: The organizers are having a Conference Banquet and on 8 Jan 2008 at 1800hrs at ISB for the participants, who have paid in advance (US$25).

Q: How long is the presentation time for an oral paper?

A:  One oral presentation lasts for 30 minutes, in which 20 minutes may be used for presentation to leave 10 minutes for discussion.

ACCOMMODATION Etc.

Q: Are there any hostel accommodation possibilities?

A: Absolutely! Hostel Accommodation is also arranged for you at reasonable cost (US$3 to US$ 35) for you to avail. Hostel Rooms will be allotted by LOC-08 Secretariat against firm booking for full duration. Click here for full details and rentals.

Q: I am traveling from outside India and I need a letter of invitation for visa purposes. Can you help?

A: Sure! Upon request, the IJCNLP-08 Secretariat will send an invitation letter for visa purposes. However, Participants on Tourist Visa are permitted to attend Conference, Tutorials and Workshops. Invitation sent to all authors for oral and poster presentations by LOC sometime back.

Q: Where do I get Indian visa related information?
