Proposal Submission Deadline: Sep 30, 2016

Notification of Acceptance: Nov 1, 2016

The Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL), the European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics (EACL), and the Conference on Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing (EMNLP) invite proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with ACL 2017, EACL 2017, or EMNLP 2017. We solicit proposals on any topic of interest to the ACL communities. Workshops will be held at one of the following conference venues:

EACL 2017 is the Annual Meeting of the European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics. It will be held in Valencia, Spain, April 3-7, 2017. The dates for the EACL workshops will be April 3-4: http://eacl2017.org.

ACL 2017 is the 55th Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics. It will be held in Vancouver, Canada, July 30 - August 4, 2017. The dates for the ACL workshops will be Aug 3-4: http://acl2017.org.

EMNLP 2017 is the SIGDAT conference on Empirical Methods for Natural Language Processing. It will be held in Fall 2017. Exact details on dates and venue will be announced later.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Full details of the submission procedure and the selection criteria for workshops will be announced in August. The requirements for submission are likely to be similar to those of last year, which include a brief 2-page description of the workshop topic and content; an estimate of the number of attendees; a one-paragraph statement about each of the workshop organizers; a description of any shared tasks and special technical needs; a statement of preferred venue; and a list of Programme Committee members. It is highly desirable for proposals to have at least 75% of the Programme Committee confirmed at the time of submission.

The ACL has a set of policies on workshops. You can find the ACL's general policies on workshops, the financial policy for workshops, and the financial policy for SIG workshops at:
