The categories "Tools" and "Applications" come from there. To me, these terms are so vague that they are virtually meaningless. I think they are just another way of saying "miscellaneous". However, I haven't had time to come up with anything better yet. --[[User:Pdturney|Pdturney]] 12:18, 8 November 2006 (EST) | :: This software stuff was copied over from [http://tangra.si.umich.edu/clair/universe-rk/html/u/db/acl/html/ The ACL NLP/CL Universe], by the original author, Dragomir Radev. Thanks
Thanks for categorizing. It's great to have the help of an experienced Wikipedian. --Pdturney 11:45, 8 November 2006 (EST)
Re: Article naming conventions
Yes, please fix the naming. Most of us here don't have much Wiki experience. At least, that's certainly true for me. --Pdturney 11:59, 8 November 2006 (EST)

Hey man
Great to see you here :) Did you hear about it from LinguistList too? - Francis Tyers 08:31, 9 November 2006 (EST)
- I've added a link from my user page, and will be asking a few people. I'm not sure of any specific WikiProjects for computational linguistics though, and wouldn't want to 'spam' anywhere else. On another note, what do you think of making pages listing resources for various languages? e.g. Resources for Tajik or Resources for Macedonian. Listing stuff like POS taggers, lexicons, whole MT systems etc. I know this is a wiki and "be bold", but I thought I'd spring it off you first. - Francis Tyers 16:49, 10 November 2006 (EST)
- I didn't have anything better to do, so I went ahead and did it anyway, see List of resources by language. Feel free to expand Resources for Persian or any others. :) - Francis Tyers 20:03, 10 November 2006 (EST)
