Mikel Iruskieta holds a Basque Philology degree and a PhD on Applied Linguistics at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Since 2004, he is a member of the IXA Research Group (Natural Language Processing Group) and he is also a professor of Basque Language and Communication at the Teachers Training School of Bilbao at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) since 2008. His research fields are communication, parsing (semantic, syntactic and discourse), and development of linguistic resources for Basque. More info at: http://ixa2.si.ehu.eus/iruskieta/
