Marco Kuhlmann is Reader in Computational Linguistics at Linköping University. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Saarland University (2007) and an MSc in Cognitive Science and Natural Language from the University of Edinburgh (2002). His main research interest is the development of efficient algorithms for natural language processing. He has served on the editorial boards of the journals Computational Linguistics (2012–2014) and Transactions of the Association for Computational Linguistics (2015–present), and as the president of SIGMOL, the Association for Mathematics of Language (2013–2015). His work has been recognized with the E. W. Beth Dissertation Prize of the Association for Logic, Language and Information (2008), and with a Google Faculty Research Award (2016).
