Dr. Jun Araki is a Senior Research Scientist in the Human Machine Interaction department at Bosch Research, working in the areas of natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and knowledge representation and reasoning. More specifically, he is interested in the research problems of information extraction, question answering, question generation, and knowledge base construction and utilization. He has over 15 publications in the areas of information extraction, question answering/generation, text classification/analysis, and knowledge-oriented representation learning. He has also served as a program committee member for top-tier NLP conferences such as ACL, NAACL and EMNLP, as well as a reviewer for journals such as Natural Language Engineering and IEEE Access. He is a recipient of the IBM Ph.D. Fellowship and Funai Overseas Scholarship. He received his Ph.D. from the Language Technologies Institute under the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. He holds a B.Eng. in Information and Communication Engineering and an M.Eng. in Electronic Engineering at the University of Tokyo. He also holds an M.S. in Computer Science at Stanford University.
