Kairit Sirts completed her PhD in 2015 at Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia, co-supervised by Sharon Goldwater from University of Edinburgh, working on unsupervised and weakly supervised models of computational morphology. 2015-2016 she was a post-doctoral research fellow at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, working with Mark Johnson on computational morphology, neural knowledge base completion and document classification on clinical texts. Starting from September 2016, Kairit Sirts is a research fellow in NLP at University of Tartu, Estonia, working on various NLP related tasks. She is involved with the neural MT research group at University of Tartu as well as continuing research both on computational morphology as well as clinical text classification using machine learning and deep learning methods.
