I am a postdoc in the Institute for Language, Cognition and Computation (ILCC) at the University of Edinburgh, working with Mark Steedman on entailment graphs.

I completed my PhD at the University of Edinburgh in 2016. The focus of my research was on discourse in Statistical Machine Translation (SMT), specifically addressing the problem of pronoun translation. Following the completion of my thesis I was a visiting researcher at Uppsala University and a postdoctoral researcher at Ludwig-Maximilians University (LMU Munich). I have also worked as a Data Scientist at Brainnwave, an Edinburgh-based technology start-up, on a project to automatically detect threats and hate speech on social media.
