Marieke van Erp is a postdoctoral researcher at VU University working on the intersection of information extraction and semantic web. She has worked with museum professionals to improve access to their digital collections and is currently working on the European NewsReader project which is aimed at constructing story lines from news.

She has a particular interest in making research better reproducible and thus reusable.
