ACL Special Interest Group on Biomedical Natural Language Processing

Welcome to the home page for the Biomedical Natural Language Processing Special Interest Group of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL). This SIG is dedicated to language processing in the biological, biomedical, and clinical domain. Biomedical language processing poses specific technical challenges that make it of interest to general NLP practitioners and make it of compelling importance to the larger field of biomedical informatics. The purpose of the BioMed SIG is to bring together researchers in NLP, bioinformatics, medical informatics, and computational biology, providing a venue (both wiki and workshop) for the promotion and dissemination of original research in this area.

Upcoming Events

  • Text Analysis Conference Drug-Drug Interaction Extraction from Drug Labels (DDI). November 12, TAC 2019 workshop in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA.
