DUTIES
- Assemble officer reports for annual meeting, this includes making sure that new officers know the format and insuring that the reports are available in printed form for the meeting and presumably in a web accessible form preferably before but surely after the conference.
- Oversee Sigs: If someone wants to propose a SIG, the VP checks it out and facilitates the SIG formation if it is appropriate. The vice-president might also initiate any policy changes with respect to the sigs, and must also press the Sigs for their annual reports.
TIMETABLE
Start about a month before the meeting, should be done about a week before the meeting
SUGGESTIONS
Find a fixed web site for the reports, both while they are collected and for the official versions to be available after the meeting. Currently, reports can be found at http://www.aclweb.org/archive/reports.html
