- Migrated the ACL events mail server to AWS SES instead of using the built-in mail server provided by our hosting provider Bluehost. The membership has grown so large that we were not able to deliver event notifications on time to the ACL membership and kept running afoul of Bluehost limits which caused serious email outages. Migrating to SES has gone quite smoothly - we are able to send ~1600 emails/hr which means that, on average, notifications for an event published to the ACL portal is sent out to the full membership within 12-18 hours of publication. We are only paying ~$25/mo to AWS for this service which is quite nice.

Everything is going well. The following work was done this past quarter:

- Migrated the ACL events mail server to AWS SES instead of using the built-in mail server provided by our hosting provider Bluehost. The membership has grown so large that we were not able to deliver event notifications on time to the ACL membership and kept running afoul of Bluehost limits which caused serious email outages. Migrating to SES has gone quite smoothly - we are able to send ~1600 emails/hr which means that, on average, notifications for an event published to the ACL portal is sent out to the full membership within 12-18 hours of publication. We are only paying ~$25/mo to AWS for this service which is quite nice.

- Set up and ran the ACL Exec and SIGDAT board elections.

- Worked with EMNLP 2022 and NAACL 2022 conference chairs to set up Slack workspaces for the various committees and coordinated channel memberships etc.

- Worked with EMNLP 2022 web chairs to help set up EMNLP 2022 website.

- Worked with GitHub to remove a squatter from emnlp.org and get it correctly redirected to sigdat.org.

- Worked with the SIGDAT secretary to update the sight.org website.

- Set up document sharing (Office 365) and Slack channels for the new ACL ethics committee chairs and members.
