2011Q3 Reports: ACL 2012
The conference organizing committee and ACL board made a site visit to Jeju, Korea in August 2010 to confirm the selection of conference venue and hotels. It was decided that ACL 2012 would be held in International Convention Center (ICC) Jeju, Korea on 8-14 July 2012, with Shilla Hotel being the main conference hotel. The local chairs and ACL are finalizing the budget plan right now. It is noted that EMNLP and CoNLL will be co-located with ACL 2012 in Jeju island. ACL conference website (http://www.acl2012.org ) was announced in October 2010.
ACL 2012 has appointed the all the chairs in the organizing committee. The committee is considering special programs, besides the regular technical programs, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of ACL.
