SIGANN membership is 141 members.
Officers
After being electedd in October 2021, Amir Zeldes (Georgetown University) and Ines Rehbein (Universität Mannheim) continued as President and Secretary respectively.
Committee
The SIGANN Committee is comprised of past and present Program Committee Chairs for SIGANN's annual workshop, the Linguistic Annotation Workshop (LAW). The committee currently includes Claire Bonial, Stefanie Dipper, Annemarie Friedrich, Chu-Ren Huang, Jena DC Hwang, Nancy Ide, Lori Levin, Adam Meyers, Antonio Pareja-Lora, Massimo Poesio, Sameer Pradhan, Jakob Prange, Ines Rehbein, Nathan Schneider, Manfred Stede, Katrin Tomanek, Fei Xia, Nianwen Xue, Amir Zeldes, Heike Zinsmeister.
Workshop
The SIG's major activity is the organization of the annual workshop. In 2023 the Seventeenth Linguistic Annotation Workshop (LAW-XVII) will be held in person and in hybrid virtual format in conjunction with ACL 2023, on July 13, 2023 in Toronto, by PC chairs Annemarie Friedrich and Jakob Prange. The workshop has received over 50 submissions and will feature 26 talks and posters, as detailed on the workshop website:

The special theme for the workshop is Ethics and Annotation, with three invited talks by Emily M. Bender (University of Washington, US), Lilian Wanzare (Maseno University, Kenya) and Anne Lauscher (University of Hamburg, Germany).
