Chapter Board Meeting

The board holds online discussions regularly by email. The annual meeting will be jointly held with AACL/IJCNLP 2020 preparation meeting on July 29, 2019, during ACL 2019 at Florence.

AACL / IJCNLP 2020 Conference

Four AACL board members and one AFNLP board member joined the Conference Coordination Committee (CCC) of AACL/IJCNLP 2020. CCC released the call for bids in October, 2018. The important dates for bid selection are listed as follows:

• October, 2018: Final call for bids
• December 20, 2018: Notify intention to submit proposal
• January 22, 2019: Draft proposal due
• Through February 26, 2019: Feedback to bidders
• March 26, 2019: Final bid due
• April 30, 2019: Bid selected

CCC decided to select Suzhou, China as the location where AACL/IJCNLP 2020 will be held.

CCC will hold a meeting on July 29, 2019 at Florence to discuss the preparation of AACL/IJCNLP 2020. The attendees of the meeting include Conference Coordination Committee members, ACL Treasurer, and General, Program, and Local chairs.
