There is a total of 18 SIGs.

According to the SIG creation guidelines, a SIG should hold elections every two years.

Overview of elections:

  • SIGANN: no elections so far; the first election is planned for Sep. 2014.
  • SIGMT: no elections so far; the first election is planned for summer 2014.
  • SIGs with more than 24 months between elections:
   -- SIGBioMEd: Aug. 2013, June 2016
   -- SIGFSM: 2012, 2015
   -- SIGLEX: Aug. 2013, June 2016
   -- SIGNLL: Nov. 2011, June 2014
   -- SIGPARSE: Feb. 2013, Dec. 2015
   -- SIGSEM: Oct. 2013, 2016
   -- SIGWAC: July 2012, July 2015
  • The other SIGs have had or have planned elections every two years.
