CoNLL 2018

CoNLL 2018 will be held from October 31 to November 1 in Brussels, following EMNLP 2018. The co-chairs of the main conference are Anna Korhonen (University of Cambridge) and Ivan Titov (University of Edinburgh). For the first time, CoNLL has area chairs. There are 12 area chairs and 239 reviewers. CoNLL received 295 submissions (more than last year), despite disallowing dual submissions with EMNLP. The invited speakers are Asifa Majid (Radboud University/Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics) and Max Welling (University of Amsterdam)

There are two shared tasks, Multilingual Parsing from Raw Text to Universal Dependencies (Task Chairs: Dan Zeman, Jan Hajič) and the CoNLL–SIGMORPHON 2018 Shared Task: Universal Morphological Reinflection (Task Chairs: Mans Hulden, Ryan Cotterell)

The terms of the president and the secretary are expiring by November 1, so we will be soliciting nominations and organizing an election very soon.
