Workshop

The SIG's major activity is the organization of the annual workshop. The workshop included 15 accepted talks and 5 posters, detailed on the workshop website:

https://cemantix.org/workshops/law/xvi/

The special theme for the workshop was Annotating Multimodality: The Impact of Multimodal Language Understanding on Annotation Practices and Representations.

SIGANN GUIDO - A Repository of Annotation Guidelines

In an initiative led by Annemarie Friedrich in collaboration with Ines Rehbein, Nathan Schneider and Amir Zeldes, a pilot repository to index different annotation guidelines has been started at https://sigann.github.io/guido/. We are hoping to gather community support to expand this resource and make annotation guidelines more easily accessible and findable online.

Website and mailing list

We have a working website that lists upcoming events of interest to our members and links to LAW proceedings. The website was updated in this reporting period and is now found at:

https://sigann.github.io/

We also have a mailing list that is used for notices and discussion, and was migrated to a new Google Groups address for easier maintenance during this reporting period.
