SIGUR had been inactive for a while, but this changed in 2023 with the election of a new board and IWCLUL being organized again.
Members
SIGUR has retained its members. A business meeting was held in November 2023 and a new board was elected for the next 2 years. A new election shall take place in 2025.

Events
In 2023, IWCLUL was organized jointly with NLP4DH in Tokyo, Japan. The proceedings are available in the ACL Anthology.
IWCLUL 2024 will be organized in Helsinki, Finland in November 2024.
