I am an Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department, University of California, Los Angeles. I got my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University, Center for Language and Speech Processing, after that, I spent three awesome years at the University of Southern California as a Research Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department, and Research Lead at the Information Sciences Institute. My research interests span Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning, with special interests in creative language generation and information extraction. I have backgrounds in Linguistics and Economics and held BAs in both.
