EmotionX 2019
Welcome to EmotionX 2019, the shared task of SocialNLP 2019!
Participants are challenged to predict the emotions induced by dialogue utterances by classifying each utterance into one of four label candidates: joy, sadness, anger, and neutral. We include both spoken and chat-based dialogues. Read more about the task.
NEW! For 2019, we used Google Translate to augment our data using double-translated utterances.

Natural Language Generation (NLG) is in the ascendant both as a stand-alone data-to-text or text-to-text task and as part of downstream applications (see, e.g., abstractive summarization, dialogue-based interaction, question answering, etc.). Only in 2017, three “deep” NLG shared tasks that focused on language generation from abstract semantic representations have been organized: WebNLG, SemEval Task 9 , E2E.

Semantic Textual Similarity (STS) measures the degree of equivalence in the underlying semantics of paired snippets of text. While making such an assessment is trivial for humans, constructing algorithms and computational models that mimic human level performance represents a difficult and deep natural language understanding problem. The 2017 STS shared task involves multilingual and cross-lingual evaluation of Arabic, Spanish and English data as well as a surprise language track to explore methods for cross-lingual transfer.

You are invited to participate in the CL-SciSumm Shared Task at BIRNDL 2016. The shared task will be on automatic paper summarization in the Computational Linguistics (CL) domain. The output summaries will be of two types: faceted summaries of the traditional self-summary (the abstract) and the community summary (the collection of citation sentences ‘citances’). We also propose to group the citances by the facets of the text that they refer to.
