Coling-ACL will provide delegates with a great range of social activities – to meet and greet friends old and new, to network over several sessions, and also to see some of Sydney’s attractions.

The key events are:

• Welcoming Cocktails at the Convention Centre on the evening of Sunday 16th July - especially for all those who've attended pre-conference Tutorials at UTS, and many international delegates. Cocktails start at 6:00pm, through 8:00pm - then there are plenty of eateries around Darling Harbour for you to continue networking through the evening. We'll also have full conference registration available at the Convention Centre from 7:00pm that evening, so you can beat the rush on Monday morning.
  
  

• Drinks and Poster Sessions on the evenings of Monday 17th July and Tuesday 18th July. These drinks-and-poster sessions will enable you to view the posters, and network with poster presenters and all delegates. From 5:00pm - 7:00pm each day, in the Bayside Foyer of the Convention Centre - one free drink per attendee.
  
  

• The fabulous Excursion Day on Wednesday 19th July. Our traditional day off during the Conference, to clear the heads and enjoy the sights! There will be two boats leaving from Darling Harbour at 9:00 and 9:10am, and returning to Darling Harbour by about 5:00pm. Full details, how to get there etc will be in the conference Delegate handbook on arrival.
  
  

• The Conference Dinner at 7:00pm for 7:30pm, finishing at 11:30pm on Thursday 20th July. Our gala dinner will be held just a short walk from the Convention Centre – at Star City – Sydney’s finest Casino and function centre.
