CL Journal Report for 2007 1 SUMMARY The journal is healthy. A year ago we had no backlog of articles to print; now we have eight articles waiting in the queue (about one and a half issues' worth). The queue should disappear as we roll out the early access mechanism (first trial article still being processed). Various changes in the offing, as detailed in a separate document. 2 STATISTICS Here are the stats for 2007 so far. I haven't included the usual comparison table that shows how this compares with previous years because these numbers do not mean very much until we have more complete results for 2007, which we can't compute until around the middle of this year. However, main thing to note is that our average time to first decision has improved a lot; for 2007 so far this is 95 days, whereas a year ago it was 115 days.
