A new SIG was proposed and approved by the Exec:

SIGSLT - SIG on Spoken Language Translation

The purpose of this SIG is to promote promote interest in the research area of spoken language translation including simultaneous translation and interpretation, speech dubbing, speech-to-text translation, speech-to-speech translation, crosslingual communication including paralinguistic, emotional or multimodal information and related areas.
