The SIG currently has 180 members and it operated under the following officers:

President: Lexi Birch Secretary: Antonis Anastasopoulos North America: Marine Carpuat Europe: Ondrej Bojar Asia: Masao Utiyama The main activity of the SIG MT is the organization of the 9th Conference on Machine Translation (WMT, formerly a workshop), - https://www2.statmt.org/wmt24/ - which includes 14 official shared tasks. The conference takes place in November in association with the EMNLP conference.
