Social media
The following platforms are used by the publicity director and different conference publicity chairs. Each year, different groups of publicity chairs use these to publicise some of the information distribution of different conferences.
LinkedIn
A private group called "Association for Computational Linguistics" is set up for the members of the ACL community. It is restricted to the CL/NLP researchers. Once a member, content such as announcements for conferences, workshops, tutorials or any upcoming events can be posted there. It is also suitable for job advertisements targeting the NLP community: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/10484931/
Apart from the mailing lists, *ACL workshop/tutorial organisers are encouraged to use this space to post their CFP in this group.
Facebook
Facebook group is registered at https://www.facebook.com/aclmeeting.
Bluesky
All five chapters have their accounts registered: @aclmeeting.bsky.social, @aaclmeeting.bsky.social, @eaclmeeting.bsky.social, @naaclmeeting.bsky.social, @emnlpmeeting.bsky.social.
Mastodon
All accounts are registered on sigmoid.social with the following usernames: @aclmeeting, @naaclmeeting, @emnlpmeeting, @aaclmeeting, and @eaclmeeting.
Twitter/X
Similar to other platforms, the official accounts are @aclmeeting, @naaclmeeting, @emnlpmeeting, @aaclmeeting, and @eaclmeeting. Any other accounts the may pre-existed or been created with the ACL logos are not part of the official ACL publicity.
Conference publicity chairs
Once publicity chairs of a conference are determined they should get in contact with the ACL's publicity director to gain access to their corresponding conference social media accounts, as well as the full version of the publicity handbook. These accounts are streamlined and no new accounts are created separately for the upcoming *ACL conferences.
ACL announcements
While ACL portal is the main avenue to post CFPs, there can be delays in the circulation of the incoming content. We recommend some of the workshop or other events information to also take advantage of ACL announcements (announcements [at] aclweb.org) which is subscribed to multiple mailing lists. If you wish your *ACL related event to be publicised this way, email the current publicity director.
Handbook
For more information on the ACL publicity, please refer to the ACL publicity Handbook or contact the current ACL publicity officer.
