I am happy to announce the results of the elections for members of the ACL executive committee:
Marti A. Hearst (UC Berkeley, USA) has been elected as VP-Elect of ACL.
Jing-Shin Chang (National Chi Nan University, Taiwan) will be the new Information Officer and Shiqi Zhao (Baidu, China) will be the new Secretary.
We are happy to announce that Joakim Nivre (Uppsala University) has been elected as the VP-Elect of the ACL and that Yejin Choi (University of Washington) has been chosen as a member of the ACL executive committee in charge of conferences.
The European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics (EACL) invites proposals to host the 2017 EACL conference, to be held in Europe, the Middle East or Africa (EMEA) in Spring (preferably April) 2017. From 2014 EACL takes place every 3 years. The 2017 conference will be the 15th meeting of the EACL.
We seek draft proposals from prospective bidders. Based on an evaluation of the draft proposals received, promising bidders will be asked to provide additional information for the final selection.
The Don and Betty Walker International Student Fund was established by the executive committee of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL) to honor the extensive and far-reaching contributions of Don and Betty Walker both inside and outside the field of computational linguistics.
The Association for Computational Linguistics is THE international scientific and professional society for people
working on problems involving natural language and computation. Membership includes the ACL quarterly journal,

The Association for Computational Linguistics hereby invites proposals to host the 46th Meeting of the ACL in summer 2008. The conference is to be in North America, according to the rule of regional rotation of ACL. The meetings of ACL to date have been highly successful, with higher than expected attendance (over 650 attendees at ACL-03 in Sapporo, ACL-04 in Barcelona, and ACL-05 in Ann Arbor). More than 10 workshops and associated conferences were held together with each of the main conferences in 2003, 2004, and 2005.
