Visa Information

Most overseas delegates who wish to attend Coling-ACL 2006 will require a visa to enter the country – don’t leave home without it! We recommend that you apply to the Australian High Commission in your Country for an Australian visa; namely ‘the subclass 456 Business (Short Stay) Visitor Visa’ which should allow you to stay in Australia for 10 working days. If you have a partner who will accompany you, they will need a holiday visa, again please apply to the Australian High Commission in your Country.

The online booking facility via the LIDO Group will ensure that you know about the visa requirements, and keep track of those who have their visas. If you need an official attendance invitation in order to apply for a visa, please contact the Conference Secretariat.
